Dots Cupcakes (Fair Oaks, Pasadena)

This is a must for me every month. We have the red velvet, ginger, carrot, & vanilla flavor with x’mas deco. Go get em!!!

Daikokuya (Little Tokyo, Los Angeles)

If you are a big fan for Japanese Ramen, your gonna love their Daikokuya House Ramen. They use fatty broth as base, accompanied with uncooked boiled egg and slices of tender pork. The broth is thick, though quite oily to me; however, it is flavorful and it goes well with the ramen. They added lots of scallions over the soup as well as bamboo shoots. You can also add “beni shoga (red ginger) if you enjoy a tangy yet bit of spice to your ramen. The miso spicy broth was new on their menu so I thought I give that one a try. I didn’t think it tasted any difference compared to their house ramen. The wait is extremely long and you can wait for hours. So I suggest you either line up once it opens or show up at 4pm if you don’t want to wait for an hour. Give it a try and you determine whether you think the wait was worth it :)

Ong Go Jib (Colima Rd, Rowland Heights)
Ever mixed your beef with sorts of mushrooms and spinach sizzled and soaked with beef soup? If this is something your looking for, you’ve come to the right place. The soup was unbelievably sweet. So good to eat it on white rice or “chapchae.” Generally, I love to drink soup off a 24/7 burning clay pot when it comes to dining Korean.
Perfect for the winter time since it soothe our tummy. Minimum of 2 orders for this meal, I highly recommend serving for 4. Give it a try!

Gu Ma Ma 谷媽媽小店 (Tai Hang) Looking for homemade dumplings, try their mouthwatering Pork Cabbage Filling Dumplings. You will enjoy their medium thin dough dumplings as much as I did.

Ye`Shanghai (@ Pacific Place), My ultimate favorite Shanghainese dish, The Stir-Fried River Shrimps. I love the taste even more after topping over the shrimps with black vinegar. Its tastes even better with Tea Leaves (@ Harbour City).

Xia Mian Guan (@ Elements) Shanghainese Cuisine. I am a huge fan of Kung Pao Chicken and I highly recommend this! The Chicken was extremely tender (not fried), hint of spice and vinegar, stir fry with thin sliced garlic, cashews, and red bell peppers. I like this healthier version of Kung Pao Chicken dish. Try it for yourself!

Tenzen Japanese Restaurant (@ Causeway Bay) got the best sashimi in town. If you choose to Omakase, your looking at about 1K (HKD) per head. They don’t usually get much of the Hokkaido King Crab, but we were in for a treat that night. It was super fresh and sweet. Chef recommended dipping a bit of their house vinegar but I like it just the way it is.

Inaniwa Udon Nabe (@ Elements) is best known for their handmade Udon originated from Japan. If you love to eat Udon, you’ve come to the right place. You will surely enjoy its natural taste  and its smooth texture. I normally do my Shabu here, but I wanted something light for tonight’s dinner. I chose the Inaniwa Udon Sliced U.S Angus Beef Soup. If you are looking for something light, this would be the perfect choice. Try dipping a bit of Ponzu Sauce on the Udon if you like tangy taste.
